Welcome to Jandakot Primary School!

Jandakot Primary School is located in Success, City of Cockburn, Perth, Western Australia. We are dedicated to the education of students from Kindergarten to Yr 6.

Welcome to our school website. This site is our starting point and we are adding, reviewing and further developing it over time. We have aimed to begin with quality components rather than quantity. Over time, we want to enrich the site to build upon its relevance and detail. Our audience and priority is always our school community. I look forward to the ongoing development of this website.

We first opened in 1901, and after two changes in location, Jandakot Primary School has since established its identity at the current site since 1992. In the heart of what was originally a semi rural area, an enormous transformation has seen the current site blend into the community, now the large urban suburbs of Jandakot and Success.

Catering for over 500 students, Jandakot Primary School enjoys a unique and personal link between all components of the school community. The school is renowned for its friendliness, caring attitudes and traditional values where the interests and needs of the students come first and foremost.

Preparing students for a dynamic and ever changing world is our responsibility. Our motto of Fly High Seek Success captures our vision to create challenging and enriching learning programmes fully supported by students, staff and parents.

Currently we are embarking on developing technology to enhance student learning with regular students’ access and use of ipads, MacBooks and interactive whiteboards. We are excited about the engagement and difference these devices bring to our learning program.

At the beginning of 2013 Jandakot became an Independent Public School. We believe Independent Public School status better positions us to use opportunities that arise to ensure that all students become successful learners.

At Jandakot, we care about your child.  We are focused upon providing the best educational experiences and opportunities as possible.  Honest, “sooner rather than later”, two way communications between school and home is always a priority for us.

Jandakot Primary is a great school. We continually look for improvement and development in our constant quest to maximise learning for all students.

School Watch encourages our school community to report any suspicious activity in and around our school grounds, after hours and on weekends as well as during school holidays. Telephone 1800 177 777 (freecall) or 13 14 44 (WA Police). We appreciate your support.
